Active Division

Join the Active Division for classes to get moving and join a community!

Whether you’re looking for a welcoming community or low stress ways to stay active and healthy, these classes are for you! These programs come with dedicated and caring teachers as well as many different dance and fitness activities.

Registration Information: We’re happy to offer classes for active adults for a $6 drop-in rate. Class punch cards are available in varying amounts and can be ordered day of. These classes are FREE for Silver Sneakers members. Rockford Dance Company is a proud partner of Silver Sneakers, which allows Silver Sneakers members to participate in our Active Adult classes at no charge!

Active Ballet

  • This is the perfect class for dancers of all abilities who have the love of ballet in their hearts.

  • Instructor: Christy Munch

Yin Stretch

  • This class focuses on mindfulness, relaxation, and gentle stretching of the connective tissue. The 60 minute class is spent on the mat with no lunging, standing, or balancing poses done. Dancers should bring a yoga mat, a yoga block or two, and the desire to relax!

BeMoved® Dance Fitness

  • Do you love to dance, or have you always wanted to learn?  BeMoved Dance is the perfect place for you to express yourself, have fun, and improve your wellbeing. BeMoved Dance is a dance fitness program that offers 22 unique dance genres, from Bollywood to Broadway, to suit your mood and style.  In a full class, you will experience BeMoved's Warm-Up, Genre, and Cool-Down, leaving you balanced in mind, body and soul – feeling rejuvenated.

FITnesse Exercise

  • A dynamic full body ballet inspired work out that includes strength, core, stability, balance and flexibility.
