Anna Friel

Anna began dancing at the age of 3 at Metropolitan Dance Company in Rockford, IL. She later transferred to Rockford Dance Company to continue her ballet training. Anna danced for 15 years before leaving for college to study Exercise Science and eventually obtain her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She became interested in this field because of the many injuries she acquired as a dancer. She continues to take adult ballet classes and enjoys teaching adults any chance she gets. She has returned to the stage as an adult to play Mrs. Stahlbaum in 4 recent Nutcrackers at The Coronado Performing Arts Center. Anna was also a member of the Rockford Dance Company board of Directors for 4 years, acting as secretary for 3 of those years. Anna is very passionate about RDC’s mission and is thrilled to be a part of their team!
