The Rockford Follies (Not Totally Legal) is a major fundraiser supporting the Rockford Dance Company's mission to pursue excellence in the art of dance through performance, education and outreach. Building upon the concept of the popular and successful "Legal Follies" produced by Prairie State Legal Services for more than a decade, the Dance Company will be opening up writing and casting beyond the legal community.
Rockford Dance Company is calling for scripts from individuals or groups wanting to write and perform their own skits. Application forms can be obtained on line at the link below or by calling 815-963-3341. Applications and scripts are due by December 3, 2010. Connie Kuntz and her committee will then review submissions, make their choices, and define what the show will be. The committee will also prepare group numbers and connecting material. The best spoof will win an award and cash prize the night of the performance.
Auditions will be held on January 15, 2011 in Kresge Hall at the Riverfront Museum Park at 10:00 am. Everyone is invited to audition. Singers, actors, and dancers are needed for the show.
