
Ballet
Robert Baudry studied in Paris, France at the Academie International de la Danse with faculty from the Paris Opera under the direction of the renowned ballerina Yvette Chauvire. He was a member of the Ballet de Bretange Company and taught extensively in Paris.
Dancercize, Ballet
Janet Quilici has been teaching dance in the Rockford area since 1969. Originally from England, Janet trained in London in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) method. Ms. Quilici was the first school director of the Rockford Dance Company. She has performed in many production including Chuck Hoenes' dinner theatre productions, Rockford Dance Company's production of "A Christmas Carol" and the first "Nutcracker" until 1995.
Janet has choreographed musicals for West, and Jefferson High Schools as well as the Mendelssohn clubs annual Madrigal dinner.
Kinderdance, Primary Ballet I
Martha has been dancing with The School of Rockford Dance Company since the spring of 2006. In 2007 she became a trainee of the company, in 2008 she became an apprentice, and this year was promoted to full company. Martha has been dancing since the age of 3. She danced with Tacoma City Ballet and was a junior company member with Dance Theatre Northwest under the direction of Melanie Kirk-Stauffer. The summer of 2008, Martha was chosen to study with The Milwaukee Ballet’s 6 week summer intensive program. Performances with RDC include The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Russian Nights, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.
Ballet
Margaret C. Faust, Artistic Director joined the Rockford Dance Company as Artistic Director in July 1996. After attending Rockford College for one year, where she studied under Jayne Poor, she continued her studies in ballet at Texas Christian University and the University of Utah, earning her BFA and MFA in Ballet respectively. Margaret has danced with the Ft. Worth Ballet Association, the Ft. Worth Opera, Ballet West, the Bodyworks Dance Ensemble, Northern Dance Theatre, and Salt Creek Ballet.
Tap
Missi has been teaching in the Rockford area for several years. She is currently teaching tap at RDC and Rockford College. In the past she has worked as a choreographer at RVC's Starlight and Studio Theaters, Mendolsen Club and many area high schools. While growing up in Rockford, she studied ballet with Donna Bollinger, RDC, and jazz and tap with Chuck Hoenes and Bob Hoenes.
Jazz
Brooke has been dancing for the last 22 years. She began at Helen Olson's School of Dance, studied ballet at Rockford Dance Company, and then continued her dance education competing with Ted Jackson in Midwest Movement. Brooke also spent six years in the Creataive and Performing Arts Program (C.A.P.A.) at borth West Middle School as well as Auburn High School. Brooke now attends Northern Illinois University, majoring in Biological Sciences, and minoring in dance education. She joins us after having taught for two and a half years at J&J's DTTS in Pecatonica, Illinois.
Ballet
Stephanie has been dancing since the age of three. After dancing with Edwards Dance Studio and Dance Source Unlimited, Stephanie joined RDC in 2000. Stephanie is currently working towards her associates degree from Rock Valley College, with plans of attending Oral Roberts University. Performance credits with RDC include: The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Russian Nights, Cinderella, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Sleeping Beauty.
Ballet
Betsy Puig began dancing with RDC in 2000. Before moving to the Rockford area she danced with Chicago's Second City Ballet in several children's productions as well as the full length ballet, The Magic Room. She graduated from the Chicago Academy for the Arts with a major in theater and she holds a BA in Liberal Arts from Columbia College, Chicago.
Modern
Margaret Rennerfeldt, holds a BFA and MFA in Dance and Performance from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and an MAT in Reading from Rockford College. She has studied dance with many great teachers including Warren Conover, Larry long, Bella Lewitzky, Peggy Hackney, Janice Meaden & Janet Lilly. Margaret was an original member of the Rockford Dance Company and has been a teacher in the school of the Rockford Dance Company for many years. Ms. Rennerfeldt has danced professionally with the Chicago Dance Medium, Akasha Dance Company and Without Shoes Modern Dance Company which she directed from 1993 to 2001. She has performed the works of Nana Shineflug, Laurie Macklin, Ginger Farley, Bob Eisen, B.J. Sullivan, Maria E. Castello, Edisa Weeks, and Sima Belmar. Ms. Rennerfeldt has been a teaching artist for more than 20 years presenting workshops in dance and movement across the curriculum for teachers and students, staff training and degree programs as well as residencies in private and public schools through out the Midwest as well as in Russia, Ecuador and Hong Kong. She has been on the roster for the Rockford Area Arts Council since 1992 and been nominated twice for the Mayor's Arts Award. Since 1999, Margaret has organized and produced Arts For Life, a benefit dance concert for Rockford area AIDS organizations. From 1999-2006 Ms Rennerfeldt was an assistant professor of dance at Beloit College in the Theatre/Dance department. Margaret is also on the faculty of Rockford College.
Modern, Jazz
Nicole attended Northern Illinois University where she earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in Dance Performance. Nicole also holds a Masters degree in school social work from the University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana. Nicole has taught various styles of dance in after school programs for many years. She has also performed with NIU Dance Theater, RDC, and Without Shoes Dance Company. Through her training with various teachers and choreography, she has developed her own unique style of dance, choreography, and teaching. She describes her style as eclectic with jazz, modern, and African influences.
