The following is a general overview of this fun event.

A concert presented and choreographed by Margaret Faust, RDC Artistic Director. Rhapsody in Blood is Rockford's favorite mystery ballet fundraiser for the Rockford Dance Company supporting performance, education and community outreach. Rockford Dance Company is committed to enhancing our community with the power and grace of dance.

This event has put the fun back into fundraising. Rhapsody in Blood is an evening full of sensations. Guests arrive and can immediately start their sleuthing when nametags include clues to the mystery. As guests partake of the wealth of hors d'oeuvres and drinks they begin to share their clues. Table tents and wall displays offer hidden clues. The performance starts and is broken up into four different segments allowing cast members to mingle during breaks to answer questions regarding their relationship with the decease. Guest can continue to eat and drink during these brief interludes. The guests are invited to pick the murderer by selecting a character token before the finale. This also invites a lot of conversation between guests as they make their choice. In the end, a delightful performance is concluded, the culprit is revealed and the winners are awarded with a star detective trophy.
