Full Company Members 2011/2012
Anna Gibbons
Anna Rose has been dancing since the age of three, when she first began ballet lessons. Her love of ballet grew as she enrolled with the Rockford Dance Company at the age of nine. While at RDC she performed with DanceReach for four years before being accepted into the company as a trainee in 2010. In 2011, she achieved full company member status. Her performance highlights include dance the role of Clara on the Coronado PAC stage in RDC’s 2008 and 2009 productions of The Nutcracker and the role of the Columbine Doll in the 2010 production. She has also performed in Coppelia, The Emperor and the Nightingale, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, A Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella.
Gail Honeywell
Gail Honeywell has been dancing since the age of three. She started taking classes at the Rockford Dance Company in 2008 and participated in DanceReach for 3 years. This is her first year as a company member. Previously she danced with The Performing Arts Academy in Sycamore, IL. Gail’s performances include roles in RDC’s Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, A Midsummer Nights Dream, Coppelia, and the Young Choreographers' Concert. Gail goes to Clinton Rosette Middle School in DeKalb
Anna Moczynski
Anna has received her dance training at Rockford Dance Company. She has been dancing since the age of three.Performances with Rockford Dance Company include, The Nutcracker, Coppelia, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Peter and the Wolf, The Nightingale, and Sleeping Beauty.
Sara Maxey
Sara is a senior at North Boone High School and this is her second year as a member of Rockford Dance Company.She has been dancing for 13 years and began studying at Rockford Dance Company January 2010.Her performances with RDC include A Midsummer's Night Dream, The Nutcracker, The Emperor and theNightingale,and most recently Coppelia. Sara is also this year's recipient of the Joan Stonecipher Scholarship. Her choreography was recently presented in the Young Choreographers’ Concert.
Associates
Jessica Mackinson Jessica received her training at the Milwaukee Ballet School. She has also studied with the School of American Ballet, Boston Ballet School, the Vail International Dance Festival, and was a member of the ProTrack dance program at BalletMet Columbus. Jessica has performed professionally with the Milwaukee Ballet Company, BalletMet Columbus, and the Chautauqua Ballet Company. She danced with the Rockford Dance Company last season, performing corps de ballet roles in Nutcracker and soloist roles in Coppelia. Jessica is the Outreach Coordinator at the Rockford Dance Company, helping bring the art of dance to a wide variety of people in the greater Rockford community. She also teaches dance at Rockford Dance Company and Rockford College. She received a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology & Sociology at Rockford College in 2009.
Rachel Seger
Rachel Seger has been a Rockford Dance Company member for the past 3 years. This year is Rachels first year as a full company member. Rachel started out dancing with the School of Rockford Dance Company at the age of three. She also belonged to the RDC's DanceReach for seven years. Rachel is a junior at Boylan High School. She has performed in The Nutcracker, Rhapsody in Blood, Peter and The Wolf, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Midsummer Nights Dream, and she recently had her choreography presented in the Young Choreographers' Concert.
Apprentices
Jemma Goddard
Jemma Goddard started dancing at the age of 5. She is currently a freshman Boylan Catholic High School. She performed with DanceReach for 4 years. Her most recent performances include: The Nutcracker, Coppelia, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Cinderella, and Young Choreographer’s Concert. In the summer of 2011 Jemma studied ballet and contemporary dance at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.
Gabrielle Myers
Gabrielle has been dancing at Rockford Dance Company since the age of 3, she was an active member of Dance Reach for 7yrs. Gabrielle is a Sophomore at Auburn High School, where she is involved with their CAPA program. This is Gabrielle's second year as a Company Member. Performances include, The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Emperor and the Nightingale, and Coppelia. Her choreography was recently presented in the Young Choreographers’ Concert.
Allison Tennant
Allison Tennant started dancing at Rockford Dance Company at the age of three and performed with DanceReach for five years. This is her second year as a company member. Allison was a recipient of the Joan Stonecipher Scholarship in 2010. She attended an intensive at the Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts in Winnona, Minnesota this past summer. Allison has performed in RDC’s 2010 production of The Nutcracker as Clara. Other performance credits include  Coppelia, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and The Emperor and the Nightengale. Her choreography was recently presented in the Young Choreographers’ Concert.
Lily Wellen
Lily Wellen has been taking part in Rockford Dance Company classes since the age of three. Currently she ranks an apprentice within the company. Her previous performance experience includes: The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Emperor and the Nightengale, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Her Choreography was recently presented in the Young Choreographers’ Concert.
