
Cindy has been the Executive Director since 2003. Prior to that, Cindy served the company as a production manager of "The Nutcracker" and spring performances from 1996 to 2003. Cindy's background is in theater and has worked for New American Theater, Steppenwolf Theater, Body Politic Theater, Northlight Repertory Theater and was the Production Manager for the original production of "Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?" at the Forum Theater.
Cindy is responsible for the company as a whole, including grant writing, marketing, and fundraising. Cindy reports to the Board of Directors. She will assist you any staff concerns, payment concerns or organization policies.
Margaret has served as the Artistic Director since 1996. She has been responsible for raising the level of training for the Company and is well known for her high quality of performance and performance values. She received her original training from Richard Ellis and Christine DuBoulay in Chicago. After attending Rockford College for one year, where she studied under Jayne Poor, she continued her studies in ballet at Texas Christian University and the University of Utah, earning her BFA and MFA in Ballet respectively.
Margaret has danced with Ballet West, Fort Worth Ballet Association, the Ft. Worth Opera, Ballet West, the Bodyworks Dance Ensemble, Northern Dance Theatre, and Salt Creek Ballet. The Bodyworks Dance Ensemble, Northern Dance Theatre, Virginia Intermont College Dance Company, Salt Creek Ballet Company and Ballet Jeunesse have performed her choreography. She has studied professionally with David Howard and Larry Long among others. A prolific choreographer her ballets have been performed throughout the country. For RDC she has created a full-length A Midsummer Night's Dream, Sinfonia de Requiem, Gala, Still Cruisin, Bad De Vienne, BOYCETEROUS, and In Memory's Embrace. Margaret established the popular Young Choreographers Concert for Company members in 1999.
Ms. Faust is responsible for the artistic intent of productions, training of the company, setting the standard of training for the school, and the sole responsibility of casting. She can assist you any questions regarding training and the placement of the higher levels of ballet.
Margaret Rennerfeldt holds a BFA in dance from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and an MAT from Rockford College. She has studied dance with many great teachers including Warren Conover, Larry Long, Bella Lewitzky, Peggy Hackney, Janice Meaden & Janet Lilly. Margaret was an original member of the Rockford Dance Company and has been a teacher in the school of the Rockford Dance Company for many years. Ms. Rennerfeldt has danced professionally with the Chicago Dance Medium, Akasha Dance Company and Without Shoes Modern Dance Comany which she directed from 1993 to 2001. She has performed the works of Nana Shineflug, Laurie Macklin, Ginger Farley, Bob Eisen, B.J. Sullivan, Maria E. Castello, Edisa Weeks, and Sima Belmar. Ms. Rennerfeldt has been a teaching artist for more than 20 years presenting workshops in dance and movement across the curriculum for teachers and students, staff training and degree programs as well as residencies in private and public schools through out the Midwest as well as in Russia, Ecuador and Hong Kong. She has been on the roster for the Rockford Area Arts Council since 1992 and been nominated twice for the Mayor's Arts Award. Since 1999, Margaret has organized and produced Arts For Life, a benefit dance concert for the Rockford area AIDS organizations. From 1999-2006 Ms. Rennerfeldt was an assistant professor of dance at Beloit College in the Theatre/Dance department. Margaret is also on the faculty of Rockford College.
Pam joined the company in 2002 and has become the "go to" person for any type of question. Pam also serves as our in house photographer and is responsible for all of our graphic work.
